After our inspiring trip to Duxford, the children have been making
Airfix models. They had a choice of either making a Spitfire or
Messerschmitt 109. Tuesday was spent following instructions and
assembling their aeroplane, whilst Wednesday was spent painting and
applying the transfers. It was brilliant to see the amount of care taken
over this task. The results are particularly pleasing also, especially
considering that only 4 of the children had made a model before. Looking
at the children's faces, I think that they were pleased with their
efforts too!
Great models, nice to see some traditions still enjoyed by the new generation. All I need to do now is to persuade my husband to start on the kit I bought for him in 1970.
