Good Bye Madelen!
Madlen, Foreign Language Assistant at Thomas Mills, has been leading our German Club since Christmas. She taught the children how to play, sing, talk and eat German style! Unfortunately she is now leaving us to return back to Germany. A very big Thank You to her!
We will miss you, Madlen!
Hmmm - Wackelpudding mit Vanillesosse!

After School Dance Performance

The after school dance group, following 8 weeks of work performed a fantastic rendition of 'Euro Groove'.
The continued hard work and efforts of the children, superbly supported by visiting dance teacher Mrs Jarvis, came to fruition with a stunning performance at the end of today's session.

Girls, Mrs Barker and I were in awe of your performances - just goes to show what determination, effort, commitment and a desire to both enjoy and succeed can result in!

Dance Mats

There's a fantastic new after-school club on Thursdays.
Electronic dance mats are linked up to the big screen with sequences for the children to follow. The children then have their percentage scores revealed based on how many of the moves they made correctly. It's a fantastic way of keping fit, imoprove co-ordination and HAVE FUN!

FimClub Achieves 'Star' Club Status

Earl Soham FilmClub has be awarded 'Star' club status. Due to the range of films that we've shown on a weekly basis and how well the children have been contributing with reviews and requesting films, this is thoroughly deserved for everyone.

FilmClub takes place every Friday, after school, showing a wide range of films to audiences which consist of usually over 3/4 of the entire school. There is plenty more information available on the FilmClub website www.filmclub.org

Filmclub Starts!

Friday 9th October saw the first ever gathering for FILMCLUB. This fantastic new venture enables the school to order DVDs for free which are then delivered to the school.

Children are able to access their own part of the FILMCLUB website (www.filmclub.org) to write reviews - which could see them win fantastic prizes - or preview films they may wish to see in the future.

Over 30 children attended the screening of our first film - Freaky Friday.

This fantastic original version, starring a young Jodie Foster, had the children in stitches with the capers that the mother and daughter got up to after they had changed bodies!

Next week's film will be 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' - the original. Bring on the Oompa Loompas!
