Egyptian Homework Projects

Here are some of the beautiful pieces of homework that have been brought in to school over the past few weeks. The children have clearly enjoyed spending their time making these Egyptian artefacts and learnt lots along the way. There are also many pieces of written work on display in the classroom, so please do pop in and have a look at them all.

Egyptian Homework Exhibition

On Friday morning, instead of a sharing assembly, parents were invited to view an exhibition of children's homework, which was on display in Blue Class.

The children had produced some excellent work, including:

  • model shadufs, canopic jars and tombs;
  • menus for rich and poor Egyptians;
  • Egyptian-styled games;
  • factfiles and presentations;
  • adverts and posters
  • and much, much more.
If you didn't get a chance to see their work, I hope these photographs will give you some idea of the scope of the work produced.

Gods' Argument: An animation

The following feature film was produced as part of a homework project during our topic on the Romans. I thought it was a fantastic piece of work and wanted to share it with everyone. Please leave a comment for the Year 5 boy who produced it. I'm sure he will be thrilled to hear what you have to say about his work.

Photosynthesis Podcast

We have been learning about photosynthesis in Blue Class. This podcast was produced for homework by one of my Year 4 pupils. He has done an excellent job and I am proud to share it with you. Please take a few minutes to listen to his explanation.

The Romans

Blue Class have been working hard on their latest topic, the Romans. Set a piece of homework over half a term, the children were asked to research an area of particular interest to them and produce a booklet of work.
There were some tremendous pieces produced and Mr Mansell was delighted with the care effort and attention to detail in the work produced. Below are the three prize winners holding aloft their projects and their prize. Well done to everyone, your work was a delight to read.

Meanwhile, Blue Class have also created this fantastic mosaic (nearly 2metres high) of our school emblem.
