Heroes of Troy

In the two days before the last day of term, we held our annual school production. This year, to fit with our school topic on Ancient Greece, we performed the BBC musical Heroes of Troy.

It was received very well by the three audiences who came to watch. In case you didn't get a chance to see it, or, for the children, to see what it looked like from the audience's perspective, please enjoy looking at the photographs. There are some from rehearsals, some from the dress rehearsal and some from the performance, as well as a few behind-the-scenes shots.

Thanks to Simon Garrett for the photos of the performance, and Mrs Exton for the backstage shots!

Summer Play Rehearsals

Rehearsals for this year's production, All Aboard the SS Galaxy are well under way, and I thought I'd share some highlights from the show to whet your appetites. Letters will be going out soon to book tickets, so keep the production dates free in your diaries: Tuesday 17th July (6pm) and Wednesday 18th July (1:30pm and 6pm).

What a Show!

Having started the road to this production way back in September when the children started putting their ideas for the script together, three tremendous performances were held earlier this week.
Jeremiah '2' The Misty Mountains was the sequel to our play 'Jeremiah in the Dark Woods' performed two years ago. After a term of hectic writing and editing, a script was produced which them evolved into something rather special. All of the children took part in what could be described as a bizarre journey through fantasy land with lots of singing, dancing, acting and props with attitude!

With only a day to go before the 'big day' I thought you might like a bit of a teaser trailer. Here are some photos taken during rehearsals to whet your appetites.
