Ipswich Town 2 Burnley 1

In front of 16,297 fans (31 with Earl Soham connections) DJ Campbell’s late goal saw Town to a 2-1 victory over Burnley in Mick McCarthy’s first home game in charge of the Blues.
Daryl Murphy got Town’s first home league win in 11 games – the last came back in March – up and running just after the break with what some may consider a controversial header. A powerful header from Burnley substitute, Sam Vokes, put the visitors on level terms before Campbell’s exquisite 87th minute winner.
It was good to see past and present pupils leave Portman Road with a spring in their step and a smile on their faces for a change!
The next schools' ticket offer is for the match against Millwall on Saturday 8th December.
