Blue class enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Science Museum in London today. The highlight of the day was the visit to the hands-on Lanchpad gallery, where the children could explore lots of interactive exhibits and find things out for themselves. Everyone was well behaved and we had a great day. Thanks to all the adults who gave up their time to accompany us on the trip.

Tudor Music and Dance
The children enjoyed a great afternoon of Tudor Music provided by Ellen Foster and her friend, Liz. The children were shown a range of Tudor instruments from the recorder, viol and crumhorn families. This was followed by a demonstration of Tudor dress, with Mrs Robinson as the model. Finally the children paired up and learnt a stately dance.

What's in the Boxes?
Last week, a number of boxes were delivered...
The following day, some workmen arrived...
Gradually, something started to take shape...
Until, finally...
The new MUSICAL TRAIL was complete...
And the children could make some tunes!!!

Sports Day 2009
Despite forecasts of heavy rain, the good weather held out long enough for everyone to enjoy themselves at this year's Sports Day. Thanks go to Mrs Barker for organising the events. Red team were this year's winners and take away a brand new trophy, donated by Mrs Castle.
School Fete
Last Saturday the school held its annual Summer Fete, organised by the PTFA. The weather was glorious, and people turned out in their droves with plenty of money to spend. We raised a fantastic total of £1200, which will go towards subsidising trips and activities during the year. Check out the photographs below!
